10/19 Activities Update - FVL football offense stalls against the Tigers

Football at Wrightstown -- L 35-6
The Tigers running game dominated the matchup with the Foxes; two of their running backs combined for 270 rushing yards. The Foxes' offense remained stagnant until the fourth quarter when Drew Mears connected to Brendan Schulz for their sole TD. The Foxes will be back in action this Friday to host Freedom. 

  • Drew Mears: 12 for 23, 72 YDS, 1 TD, 1 INT
  • Seth Voeller: 7 carries for 26 YDS
  • Brendan Schulz: 3 receptions for 29 YDS, 1 TD
  • Tate Scott & Cody Thelen: Combined effort for a sack

Tennis Ind. State
Olivia Pethan lost her third match in the tournament to Erika Curtin (the No. 2 seed, she made it to the championship match!) and was seeded to play for 5th place. In her first match, she lost to Lauren Lindow from East Troy 6-1, 6-0 (Lindow ended up taking 5th place). Congratulations to all of the tournament winners and to Olivia! We're excited to see Olivia play more in the future. 

Volleyball at Freedom -- L 3-2
The Foxes suffered their first loss in a back-and-forth match against the Irish, 13-25, 25-16, 19-25, 25-21, 15-13. FVL's Kennedy Schmitz had a team-leading 37 digs, while Kenzie Benter had 18. Cassie Patchett topped FVL in kills with 18. FVL still leads the conference by one game at 11-1 (Freedom is at 10-2). They will travel to play Lux-Casco (8-0) on Tuesday. 

Soccer vs Seymour -- L 4-0
The Foxes' offense couldn't connect with the goal while the Thunder had two goals each half to take the victory. Nathan Hempel had three saves for the Foxes, and Hunter Jankowski had one. They will be traveling to Denmark (0-7) tonight.
