The FVL Art Club is hosting a Chalk the Walk event!
- WHEN - Sunday, September 28
- WHERE - by the football field
- TIME - Check in begins at 12:45 PM, and chalking is from 1:00-4:00 PM
- COST - $10 / 4 ft. x4 ft. square
Cost includes 5 large chalk and 6 small for detailing, and a 4 ft. x 4 ft. square on which to create your artwork
Please consider bringing some of your own chalk to fill in large areas

Drawing Tips
- Please bring a sketch of your plan to help you draw out your design.
- Coloring is recommended but not necessary.
- Plan a design that fits into a square frame.
- Drawing out your design in advance and providing yourself with a mini grid will make the process easier when you start! You can bring printed references or digital images but we ask for you to show your design plan at check in to make sure it fits the theme.
Items you may want to bring:
- Water bottles (spray)— for blending colors & cooling down!
- Sponges for blending
- Paintbrushes of all sizes
- Masking tape — great for mosaics and creating a clean frame line around chalk art
- Garden kneeling pad — to keep your knees comfortable as you work
- Your own chalk — for filling in large color spaces
- Rulers - or a wooden board for straight lines
- hats/sunscreen
