Although COVID-19 prevents us from holding an in-person 5K race, FVL's chapter of National Honor Society is excited to hold a virtual Run for Lives event on Saturday, June 6, 2020! Participants will have from 8 AM-8 PM on June 6 to complete their own 5K (3.1 miles), whether on a treadmill or an outdoor trail.
Participants can track their run and submit their time online for a chance to win a prize basket. Prizes are available for the top three participants. You can also still participate as part of a team! Joint prizes will be offered to the teams with the best average race times, the most creative route, and the best theme/team apparel.
All participants will receive a t-shirts. Registrants after May 15 will receive their t-shirts after the day of the race.
If you already registered for the race (previously on May 9), you should have received an email with instructions on how to opt-in to the virtual race. If you no longer wish to participate, details on how to request a refund are in the email sent to you. This must be done before Friday, May 15.
The fee to register is $15. Register by May 15 to get this low fee!
All proceeds from this event benefit the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. If you can't participate on June 6 but still want to contribute, you can give directly on the Run for Lives website.
Visit the Run for Lives website for more information, and watch your email for updates about this event! Contact Amy Gilmet (firstname.lastname@example.org) with questions.
