SOAR Fox Cities is looking for students to help with their summer camp! SOAR is a local non-profit that provides programs and services to those with developmental disabilities.
ABOUT
SOAR Camp Onaway provides individuals with developmental disabilities an opportunity to enjoy a typical camp experience, including opportunities for personal growth and steps toward greater independence. Families/caregivers receive a week of much-needed respite.
The Brigade of Neenah operates Camp Onaway. The camp is located on Onaway Island of the beautiful Chain of Lakes in Waupaca. The camp has rustic cabins and a central bathroom and shower facilities.
The camp will be run from June 7-11, 2022.
Volunteers needed!
Volunteer to be a camp counselor with SOAR! Counselors assist campers as needed—each has their own abilities and independence. Some campers may need help dressing for the weather, reminders to brush their teeth, assistance cutting food, or help following the camp schedule.
Volunteers must be at least 16 years old!
Volunteers will be provided with transportation to and from camp, room and board, and a stipend.
